Brits Dreyer's mission is to provide innovative, efficient and affordable legal service and to retain personal contact with our clients, thereby adding value to their lives and businesses.

History


Brits Dreyer has it roots in the erstwhile renown firm Silberbauers Inc which has been conducting business in Bellville since 1957. Both its current Directors has served their articles with Silberbauers Inc and when Silberbauers Inc finally closed its doors in 1999, following a merger with attorneys Cliffe Dekker of Johannesburg, Gerhard Brits, the managing partner of the Bellville office, requested the opportunity to retain the office and the practice in order to address the needs of our clients. From 1999 to 2004 the office continued to practice under the name Silberbauers - Brits, whereafter, in 2005 it changed its name to Brits Dreyer Inc.

Broad-based Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) policy and initiatives

Brits Dreyer supports the Government's proposed Broad-based Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) initiatives and policies set out in the proposed BBBEE Codes of Good Practice. Though exempted from compliance the firm realises the importance of engaging in the empowerment process and accordingly has devised a long term strategy to ensure compliance gradually within the parameters and constraints associated with a small firm. Brits Dreyer reviewed its suppliers, with the view of utilising only BBBEE compliant suppliers in future thereby working towards attaining the initiatives and goals of the Government in attaining participation in BBBEE.
